My intentions were to purchase the Seatles coffee at Walmart... I couldn't find singles so I grabbed a 4 pack... I took one can out of the 4 pack and scanned it at one of the price checkers... it scanned so I thought that they might allow me to buy them individually... I took the 4 packs to the register and asked. The CSM told the cashier to go ahead and ring the 4 Pack and to try to ring 4 coupons... it didn't work... the 4 packs cost $4.68 making them $1.17 each... they did get one coupon to ring through but the next coupon made the register beep... They deleted the 4 Pack of Seatles best off my order but couldn't get the coupon to come back off so they kept the coupon and I was credited $1.17 that I shouldn't have been credited.
Going in... I had NO IDEA that I would get FULL COUPON VALUE for any of the free items... I did better than I thought I would... but, I'm not complaining... Not one bit!
The other thing... I didn't include the tax or deposit when I calculated and shared the total... but, for those interested the tax was $4.62 and the deposit $2.40 (NYS Deposit that gets refunded when you return your cans to a redemption center).
These posts take a VERY LONG TIME to write because it's difficult to go back and remember which coupon went with what item... There were a couple (see notes) that had me bamboozled... but I matched them up as best I could my memory that seems to fail me more and more each day... EEK!
I'd love to see your saving's big and small! Please share them on the My Mailbox Madness Facebook wall... upload your photo's! It is extremely satisfying to see that what I do is helping YOU!

FREE iTunes Gift Card Scenario/Idea
This is going to take a WHOLE lot of coupons but more than anything determination... however, IT CAN BE DONE!
You'll need lots of coupons... the quickest and easiest way to make this happen is to find (34) 04.17.2011 SS Insert Listerine Coupon $2.50/2
If I were to go the Listerine Route... this is what I'd do...
Combination of Reach Toothbrushes & Reach Floss (68) $1/1
Use 04.17.2011 SS Insert Coupons (34) $2.50/2
Final Cost FREE + $17 Overage
iTunes Gift Card 1/$15
Use CVS $4/$20 Bonus Offer
Transaction Total (Before Tax) FREE + $2 Overage
Now that you've thrown your hands in the air and thought... yeah, right... like I'm going to come up with 34 Listerine Coupons... Here's another idea...
TAKE ALL your $2.50/2 Listerine Coupons AND All your Make-up & Hair Color Coupons to CVS... CHECK OUT THE CLEARANCE RACKS. Compare your coupons to the items in the clearance bins. You're looking for items that will give you an overage... EXAMPLE: Today I found Nail Polish on Clearance for $1.72... I had a coupon for $2/1 creating a $0.28 Overage...
CVS isn't the only store that will grant you full coupon value when the cost of the item you're using it for is less... Rite Aid is another store that you can search for clearance items BUT get full value of your coupon...
PLUS, if you've been to Rite Aid lately... fill out their survey for $3/$15 (look on the bottom of your receipt)... now you only need $12 toward an iTunes gift card.
Take your coupons to the TRAVEL or TRIAL section of the store (watch coupons to make sure they don't exclude travel/trial sized items)... look for anything in that section that pairs with a coupon and gives you an overage...
Another option is WALMART... Walmart gives MONEY BACK for overages... Find a few $1/1 McCormick Extract or Spice Coupons... take them into Walmart & buy the Taco Seasoning 1/$0.54 use the $1/1 coupon... for every one you buy using a coupon you've got a $0.46 overage... Do that 32 times... and you've got yourself an iTunes gift card... Heck do it Ten Times and get the change... take the change to to CVS and use the $4/$20 Purchase Coupon... use all your Listerine Coupons toward the floss or toothbrushes (described above)... you're getting closer... do you see what I see?

Mountain Dew 12 Packs $2.50 each at Walmart with Price Match & Coupon
Our Walmart has peelie coupons on 20 Packs of Pepsi Products. The coupon is good for $1/2 ~ 20 Packs OR $1/2 ~ 12 Packs! If they're still available... If you're headed to Walmart & interested in this deal take the Dollar General Ad with you... you'll need it for the price match guarantee.
Here's the scenario:
Mountain Dew 12 Pack (2) $1/$3.00 Dollar General Price Match
Use Peelie Coupon $1/2
Final Cost 2/$5 or $2.50 each
At the Walmart in NY ~ You have to pay $0.05 deposit on each can...
At the Walmart in PA ~ There is no $0.05 deposit. From my experience the cans have the $0.05 deposit stamp and can be returned in NY for a refund.
In reverse... if you happen to be at Walmart and find the peelie coupons ~ they can be used at the Dollar General becuase they're manufacturer coupons...
