Usually, I see Hot Pockets on sale for around $2 a box but... THIS week the Giant has them advertised 6/$10 making them $1.67 each before coupons.... when paired with the printable coupon for $1.40/8 you can snag 8 boxes of hot pockets for $1.49 per box!  I consider this a STOCK UP PRICE!

While the Giant has Ribs on Sale for $2.38 per pound you can snag them at Ried's for $1.98 per pound... Chicken Breast at the Giant is $1.88 per pound and Ried's has Chicken Breast advertised for $1.79 per pound!

Both stores are advertising a sale on Hatfield Bacon for $3.79 but you can get it for $2.79 if you still have your $1/1 Hatfield Product Coupon from the 10/16/2011 Redplum Insert that expires 01/31/2011!

Giant Food Mart Mobile Rewards

The Giant has a new program.  It's called Mobile Rewards.  Today, I got a free half gallon of Byrne Dairy Ice Cream ~ ARV $3.99 and a 2 Liter of Pepsi ARV $1.89 for ABSOLUTELY FREE.  When you sign up the Giant will text you a code.  Take the code into the store and enter it into the little kiosk thingamajig... the kiosk will spit a coupon out... go get your freebie... take it to the register & use just as you would any other coupon!  Click HERE to sign up for the Giant's Mobile Rewards Program!

At a quick glance... here are some of the best deals I see at the Giant this week! 

Meat:

Split Chicken Breast $1.18 Per Pound
The Giant cuts meat any way you'd like it for FREE.  If you call ahead and ask they will debone and skin the split chicken breast.  Per the butcher at the Giant the bones & skin weight about 1/4 of a pound.  You have to pay for the bones & skin so I suggest asking them to wrap in a separate package.  You can use the bones & skin for stock.  Once deboned & skinned you've got Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast averaging $1.57 Per Pound!  The deal isn't as good as last week but it's still a great deal! 

I've been waiting VERY PATIENTLY for this next sale to come along.  Last year it was $15/5 Pounds ~ all things considered... this is a great price...
Haddock Fillets 5 Pound Box $16.95 BUT...

The Split Chicken Breast is BONE IN... However, the Giant will cut meat however you'd like them too and only charge you the advertised price... NOW is the time to STOCK UP on Chicken Breast... Go to the Meat Department, ring the bell & ask the associate to cut the Breast off the Bone... and if you want to take it a step further... ask them to take the skin off too... now, you've got yourself Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast for $0.98 a pound.  Just remember that you're paying for the bone & skin regardless of whether you take it home or not!

Giant Food Mart Sales & Coupons 01.30.2011 thru 02.05.2011 Actual Purchase

NOTE: The Giant will NOT accept a manufacturer coupon IF it has another store's name on it... EXAMPLE... I had a coupon for $0.75/1 Extra Gum and tried to use it at the Giant... THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT IT because... in the bottom left hand corner there was a CVS logo. 

The same went for the MANUFACTURER coupon found in the Tops ad... (free 12 pack of Pepsi Max coupon)... They wouldn't accept it because they knew it came from the Tops ad...  While this isn't a problem for generally ANY OTHER STORE... BECAUSE IT IS A MANUFACTURER COUPON... it does seem to be a problem for the Giant.  I simply asked the cashier to deduct those items... 

On another note: I was thinking... I share EVERYTHING with you that I get for free... or nearly free.  The reality of it is... my family does NOT completely exist on Free or nearly Free. 

Yes, there are coupons out there for Meat.. usually they go something like this for example: $1 off Beef WYB A1 Steak Sauce.  The cheapest beef I've seen in a long time was the sale at the Giant last week... 73% Ground Beef @ $1.48 lb.  However, I didn't notice the A1 on sale.   

Shopping with coupons and stocking up on non-perishables allots more money to purchase the perishables... such as meat, dairy & fresh produce. With that said I do suggest that you purchase at least TWO Different MEAT PACKS A WEEK (something on sale)... split, wrap and freeze.

Final Cost $8.37

SPLURGE: Extreme Couponing & Sale Shopping is like being on a diet... Just like when you're dieting you should treat yourself but in moderation...  This week's Splurge:

Final Cost $12.29
Baby Back Ribs are cheaper at Save-A-Lot in Wellsville... Last time I checked they were $2.99 lb

Fresh Flat Iron Steak (0.92 lbs) 1/$4.88 (Sale) (1 Meal)
Final Cost $4.49

Extra Laundry Detergent 2/$4
Use Xtra Printable Coupon (2) $1/1
Final Cost 2/$2 or $1 each

Transaction Total $27.15 + Sales Tax $0.34 = $27.49
